Creator Spotlight Series

Each creator’s path is uniquely their own — shaped by bold choices, unexpected detours, and the courage to show up authentically online. That’s what we celebrate every week in our Creator Spotlight Series.

Whether they’re breaking barriers, building communities, or balancing motherhood and content calendars, our TSS creators continue to redefine what it means to grow and thrive in the digital space.

Meet Kenzie Williams — From Mortgage Job to Momfluencer

This week, we’re shining a light on Mackenzie “Kenzie” Williams — a content creator whose journey took off after leaving the corporate world and leaning into a more creative, intentional life. Known online as @lifeofkenziew (on both Instagram and TikTok), Mackenzie’s content blends family, faith, and authenticity with real talk about motherhood, fertility, and everything in between.

After going viral with a spontaneous post, Mackenzie quickly realized the power of community — and the value of being fully herself online. With thoughtful planning and a purpose-driven mindset, she’s turned her presence into a thriving platform while raising her family and preparing to welcome a new baby in 2025.

In this interview, Mackenzie opens up about the moment she went “all in” on content, what brands should really know about working with creators, and why signing with The Sociable Society was a game-changer for both her business and her peace of mind.

Let’s dive into her story.

Kenzie Williams on Finding Her Voice, Building Community, and Going Full-Time with Social Media

How did you get started with social media? Was it a goal of yours or on a whim, and which platform?

I started using social media just to keep in touch with friends and share some fun moments.

But as I saw others building cool communities and turning it into a career, it really inspired me to take it more seriously.

I started my social media journey on Instagram. It’s amazing how something that starts as a casual hobby can turn into something much bigger!

What were you doing (or where were you in life) before you started on social media?

I had just left my job at a mortgage company after 2020. I found myself exploring new paths and figuring out what I wanted to do next.

It was a period of reflection and growth, and social media became a creative outlet and a way to connect with others while I was navigating that transition!

Who were some of the creators or influencers you looked up to when you first started posting on social media?

When I first started posting on social media, I really looked up to creators like Jaylabrenae and Herlifesparkles. They had such a unique style and a great way of connecting with their audience.

As I got into the couple creator space, I found inspiration in accounts like jandjfamily1, thescottfamily, and itsdestene on TikTok. Their content was fun and authentic, and it motivated me step more into that niche!

Was there a specific piece of content or instance in which you went viral or was it a slower build up over time? How did you feel and what did you do afterwards?

Our first viral video was a surprise — it didn’t take much effort, and I honestly didn’t expect it to blow up.

I usually put a lot of thought into my content, so it was wild to see something I thought wouldn’t do well take off like that. It started gaining traction so quickly, and I could feel it in my gut that it was going to hit the millions.

It was an incredible rush! After that, I focused on riding the wave and engaging with everyone who reached out, which really helped grow our community even more.

At what point did you decide to go “all-in” on social media? What were the factors that made you decide to pursue content creation full-time? Did you have a back-up plan?

I decided to go “all-in” on social media once I noticed people really connecting with my content. It was about a month after I started posting consistently and sharing more of my personality.

I sat down with my husband and told him that I wanted to pursue this full-time, especially since it would let me eventually stay at home with our future kids.

I didn’t have a backup plan, which definitely pushed me to give it my all and make it work!

Every creator’s creation process is different. Take us through how you typically create content? Do you have a set process or how much of it is on the fly?

I started off creating content on the fly, focusing on relatable moments.

As a mom, I’ve found it really helpful to plan my week on Sundays. I typically set aside two filming days to batch content, which makes things less stressful and helps me keep up with posting.

I try to strike a good balance between trending topics and relatable family or mom content. This way, I can stay connected with my audience while also keeping things fresh and fun!

If you could go back to when you started your journey as a creator and give yourself two pieces of advice, things to keep in mind, or things you’ve learned — what would you say to yourself?

If I could go back and give myself some advice, I’d tell myself not to stress and to stay consistent

There will definitely be ups and downs as a creator (both mentally and financially) and we can’t control how each post will perform.

The second piece of advice would be to just post the content

I spent too much time trying to make everything perfect, but I realized that authenticity and my true personality are what people love, not perfection. Embracing that made a huge difference in my journey!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten for being a creator?

The best piece of advice I received as a creator was to let go of some control and consider getting a manager.

When you build your brand, it feels like your “baby,” and it can be tough to hand off tasks.

But signing with The Sociable Society was one of the best decisions I made. It allowed me to focus more on creating while they helped manage the business side, which really took a load off!

Is there a piece of content or story you’ve shared that is most memorable to you? Why is it meaningful?

While I don’t have one specific piece of content that stands out, sharing our struggle to conceive our first child was incredibly memorable for me.

It was a scary and personal topic, but opening up about it allowed me to connect with so many women and families going through similar challenges.

When we finally conceived through IUI, the outpouring of love and support was overwhelming.

Hearing others share their own stories made the whole experience feel less isolating and truly warmed my heart. It reminded me of the power of community!

How did you hear about or get connected with The Sociable Society? In what ways have TSS helped you pursue your goals and aspirations?

I first heard about The Sociable Society through other creators in my space who were working with them.

When we connected, I just felt it was the right fit for me. They took the time to really understand my content, which felt much more personal compared to other agencies.

I’ve been with TSS for about eight months now, and I’ve already surpassed my goals for the year!

Working with my amazing Creator Manager, May, has been a fantastic experience, and I’m really excited to crush my goals for 2025 alongside her and the TSS team!

What’s been your biggest “win” with The Sociable Society?

This might sound cheesy, but my biggest win with The Sociable Society is simply signing with them.

Not only has my creator manager, May, helped take the stress of the business side off my plate, but the entire TSS team has treated me with love and respect as a creator.

We truly make the perfect team, and it’s been a game-changer for my journey!

What do you value most in a Creator Manager?

I really value a Creator Manager who keeps my best interests in mind and understands my non-negotiables. It’s important to me that they prioritize my needs when dealing with brands.

Thankfully, that’s exactly what my manager provides — and then some! It makes a huge difference to have someone in my corner who truly gets me and my goals.

To date, what has been your favorite or most memorable brand partnership? Tell us why?

My favorite brand partnerships have to be with Faster Way and Americans for Contraception Education Fund.

Working with Faster Way was such a smooth experience, and it really reflected my lifestyle after giving birth to my first baby. Their values aligned with mine, and I loved sharing something that genuinely resonated with my journey.

As for Americans for Contraception Education Fund, that partnership was also incredible. We shared views that aligned with my life journey of trying to conceive, and it felt meaningful to bring awareness to important issues happening in the world.

Both experiences were authentic and impactful, making them really special to me!

What’s one thing in 2024 that brands should know about working with creators, but don’t?

This is a tough one, but I think one thing brands should know is the importance of allowing creators to add their own creativity to the content.

When creators can infuse their unique style and authenticity into the partnership, it resonates much more with their audience. This approach often drives more engagement and traffic than a straightforward ad that doesn’t blend seamlessly with their content.

It’s all about collaboration and making the brand feel like a natural fit!

Since you started, how has the social media and/or creator space changed?

I’d say the creator space has really evolved in how communities engage with advertised posts. Many creators are shifting their approach to make advertisements feel more authentic and integrated into their content, rather than just straightforward placements.

This shift helps build trust and connection with audiences, making the ads feel more like a natural part of the conversation. It’s all about keeping that authenticity while still partnering with brands!

What are some of the biggest changes that have affected you personally?

One of the biggest changes for me has been the ability to offload tasks and business-related issues.

This shift has allowed me to focus more on creating content, connecting with my audience, and building an authentic community.

It’s been a relief to concentrate on what I love, rather than getting bogged down by the behind-the-scenes work.

Many creators really focus on their content, and I’m grateful to be in a position where I can do just that!

What’s one prediction you have for social media and being a creator in 2025?

One prediction I have for social media and being a creator in 2025 is that audiences will increasingly value genuine content and creators who are open and honest about their experiences.

Authenticity will continue to be key.

Additionally, I foresee the dominance of short-form video content remaining strong, as it captures attention quickly and engages viewers effectively.

Creators who can blend authenticity with this format will likely thrive!

Any projects, news, or exciting details/sneak peaks you’d want to share?

I’m really excited to share my new video series, Mom Life Unfiltered! It’s all about the real and raw moments of motherhood.

Plus, we’re in the process of moving homes, which is a big adventure in itself.

And of course, I can’t wait to welcome our baby boy in 2025! Lots of exciting changes ahead, and I’m thrilled to take you all along for the ride!

Any special shoutouts, mentions, thank you’s or anything else you’d want to share?

I want to give a huge shoutout to my amazing manager, May Soloman, and Lauren Lee for all the support they’ve provided.

A big thank you to The Sociable Society for their hard work on behalf of TSS creators this year. I truly appreciate everything you all do to help us succeed!
