Got Questions? We Got Answers...
Understanding Creator Management Services
A creator management agency handles the “business side” of being a creator so you can focus on creating. This includes reaching out to brands, negotiating fair sponsorship deals, and managing collaborations from start to finish.
Think of it like having a coach or partner for your creator business – they help with contract talks, seamless campaign management, and long-term partnership building, ensuring your work shines while aligning with brand needs.
A good management team streamlines the process and helps foster long-term success for your creator career, not just one-off gigs.
Full-service (360°) creator management means the agency supports you in every aspect of your creator business.
This can include:
In short, a 360° management agency gives “white-glove” support across the board – from strategy and deals to day-to-day admin – so that all aspects of your growth and monetization are handled professionally.
Many talent management agencies specialize in certain niches. In our case, we primarily represent lifestyle, beauty, fashion, family, home, and DIY creators – areas where we have strong brand relationships and expertise. It’s important to work with an agency familiar with your content vertical; for example, an agency that only does home/lifestyle deals might not be a great fit for a gaming influencer.
We look for creators who align with the audiences and industries we know best (and vice versa, brands that match your style). That said, we consider each creator individually – factors like your content quality, engagement, and growth trajectory are as important as your niche or follower count.
You’ll want to be at a stage where representation can truly amplify your success. If you’re consistently working on paid collaborations and finding it hard to manage incoming opportunities, or you’re ready to turn content creation into a full-time career, it might be time for a manager.
If brand deals are trickling in and you’re still building your audience, focus on growth a bit longer until the demand is there. But if you have a solid audience and workload and you’re looking to scale up opportunities, increase your rates, and free up time to focus solely on content creation, a creator management agency can be a game-changer.
We’re happy to talk and evaluate if it’s the right moment for you.
Absolutely.
You always remain the creative boss of your content. A good agency will never force you to change your style or promote something off-brand. Our role is to support and advise – for instance, we might share input on content or strategy if you welcome it, but you have final say on what you create and which partnerships you take.
Remember, a creator manager (CM) works for you, not the other way around. While CMs may offer suggestions and insights (it’s part of their job to help optimize your success), you’re never giving up ownership of your channels or your creative voice. In fact, part of why we handle the business side is so you have more freedom to be creative, not less.
Yes – a full-service creator management agency isn’t just about deals, it’s about developing your career. We offer guidance to help you refine your content strategy and expand your reach. This could mean analyzing your audience data and identifying content trends, then suggesting ideas that resonate with your followers.
We’ll give honest, constructive feedback (e.g. on content quality or posting consistency) to help you put your best foot forward. Managers can often spot opportunities you might miss – whether it’s a new platform to try or a tweak in your branding. Think of it as having an experienced partner to brainstorm with: we want to grow your brand in a way that stays true to you.
At the end of the day, you focus on your creative strengths while we provide strategic oversight to make sure that creativity leads to tangible growth.
Additionally, for those creators who need specific affiliate marketing growth expertise, we offer an entire division, The Creator Growth Division (CGD), and services dedicated to channel monetization.
No, we do not impose quotas on your work. Beware of any agency that mandates a strict monthly earnings or post quota just to stay on the roster.
We understand that influencer business can ebb and flow – you might earn $20k one month and $2k the next, and that’s okay. Our philosophy is quality over quantity. We’re here to secure great opportunities and help you grow sustainably, not pressure you into random deals to meet a number.
Of course, we’ll set goals together and work consistently to meet them, but we know creativity doesn’t thrive under a constant forced grind. Your success is a marathon, not a sprint, and we’re here to support you for the long haul.
Working with a Creator Management Agency
Yes – our agreements are exclusive. This means we’ll be your sole representative for work that we procure together, which actually streamlines things and presents a clear face to brands. (Most managers will not represent someone on a non-exclusive basis because it can confuse the marketplace if multiple agents are contacting the same brands on your behalf).
If a brand or opportunity reaches out to you directly, you won’t lose it – you can simply refer them to your manager, and we’ll handle the negotiations and details from there on your behalf. This way, you still get to work with that brand (if you want to), but with the added benefit of us securing the best terms for you.
You won’t miss out on any deals by having a Manager — in fact, we make sure you maximize each opportunity. Exclusivity just ensures everyone is on the same page and prevents any mix-ups or conflicts in communications. (And remember, you can always discuss any special circumstances with us – we’re flexible and here to support you.)
We take a proactive approach to get you great deals. A dedicated manager won’t just sit back and wait for inbound emails; we actively pitch you to brands that are a good fit.
Thanks to our network and experience, we know which brands are looking for partnerships and how to present your profile in the best light. Not all agencies do this – some unfortunately only manage what comes to you and don’t reach out for new opportunities.
We believe in taking your career to the next level: that means working on strategy, doing outreach to dream brands, and finding creative ways to monetize your content beyond the usual one-off posts.
Of course, we also handle all the inbound requests you get, to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. In short, we hustle on your behalf both behind the scenes and in front of brands, so you have a steady pipeline of collaborations.
Yes – maintaining your personal brand and audience trust is the priority.
We will never push a partnership that isn’t a good fit for you.
A reputable agency focuses on quality, aligned partnerships over random volume. In practice, this means we match you with brands that make sense for your content and followers (e.g. if you’re a clean beauty creator, we’re not going to have you promoting a product that doesn’t meet your ethos). Each deal should feel like a natural extension of your own brand.
Agencies that just blast out every creator in bulk to every brand often end up with mismatched deals that can hurt your image – we avoid that by tailoring opportunities to you. And of course, you have veto power: if an offer comes in and you’re not excited about the brand or campaign, you can absolutely decline.
Our goal is to build partnerships that you and your audience will genuinely love, so every collaboration enhances your brand reputation.
We pride ourselves on giving each creator personalized, one-on-one attention.
We’re a boutique-style agency – meaning we keep our talent roster selective and manageable. Each creator we sign is important to us. In fact, our team structure ensures you have a dedicated manager (or small team) who focuses on you and knows your brand inside and out.
We also keep the manager-to-creator ratio low, because a full plate is a full plate and we don’t want any manager spread too thin – “the smaller the manager/influencer ratio, the better.” What that means for you is that you won’t be competing with 100 other clients for our attention.
Unlike some large agencies that might prioritize only their biggest stars, we make sure every creator we represent gets hands-on support and plenty of opportunities. Your success is our success, so you can expect a true partnership where you feel valued.
Communication and transparency are huge for us. You’ll have direct lines of contact with your manager (phone, email, text – whatever works best) and we’ll set up a regular check-in schedule.
Many agencies do biweekly calls or monthly strategy sessions; we’ll establish a cadence that suits your needs. During these check-ins, we’ll discuss upcoming projects, review any brand offers, set goals, and get your input – so you’re never in the dark about what’s happening.
In between, we’re quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have (one thing to ask any agency is “How quickly do you respond to emails?” because you want someone who is attentive.
We also provide transparency into our outreach and negotiations on your behalf – our proprietary software gives you real-time updates on the status of campaigns, contracts and payments. We lead with transparency so you are always kept in the loop with the latest information at your fingertips.
The bottom line is we work as a team: you’ll always know what your manager is doing for you, and we’ll always loop you in on important developments. This open communication builds trust and ensures we’re aligned on every decision.
Payments and Earnings
Creator management agencies typically work on a commission basis, meaning we only get paid when you get paid. The industry standard commission for influencer management is 20% of the deals we secure for you.
We’re transparent about our rate (you’ll know it upfront – no surprises), and that percentage comes out of the sponsorship or project fee. Importantly, there are no upfront or retainer fees to work with us – beware of any agency that asks for money just to sign you, as that’s a major red flag.
Our agency earns when we bring you deals that you execute, period. We also don’t have any hidden charges. Some talent agencies in the industry have been accused of “double-dipping” (getting paid by the brand and the creator) which is viewed as predatory – we do NOT do that. (Some will also commission you 20% of the value of products — we also DON’T do that!)
We are paid only via the commission we agreed upon, and our interests are fully aligned with yours.
As for the payment process: brands will pay us and we then pay you (minus our commission), or sometimes brands will need to pay you directly and then you pay our commission – either way, it’s streamlined and we’ll make sure it’s clear and easy. No extra fees, no surprises – just a simple percentage for the value we aim to add.
In almost all cases, yes, a good manager helps you earn more overall (even after their cut).
Here’s why:
We know market rates and won’t let you undervalue yourself. Often brands will offer lower fees to creators who don’t have representation, but are willing to pay more when a manager who knows the going rates negotiates .
A great manager can often negotiate higher payouts for the same deal than you might on your own. In fact, creators working with us typically see an average earnings increase of 221.2% within the first year. We also go out and find additional sponsorships and long-term partnerships for you, increasing your revenue beyond what you might have sourced solo.
Plus, by handling time-consuming admin and outreach, we free you up to create more content and engage your audience – which in turn can grow your income streams. On average, our creators report saving 30+ hours a week.
The goal is that our involvement more than pays for itself. We only succeed if you succeed, so we’re motivated to maximize your earnings in a sustainable way. Many creators find that after signing with a good agency, their workload becomes more manageable and their income grows thanks to better deals and more opportunities.
Yes, we take care of the contractual and administrative details for you.
When a brand deal comes in, our dedicated team of attorneys review the contract with a fine-tooth comb – making sure things like usage rights, exclusivity periods, cancellation terms, and payment details are all fair.
We have extensive experience spotting any red flags or sneaky clauses so you don’t sign something you’ll regret. We’ll negotiate terms to protect you (that could mean securing better pay, adjusting deliverables, adding protection clauses, etc.), and we’ll explain anything that’s unclear. Basically, we act as your advocate in all contract talks.
Beyond contracts, we also handle the logistics: scheduling deliverables, coordinating shipment of products, coordinating with the brand on timelines, handling your invoicing and payment tracking – all the back-and-forth that goes into executing a campaign.
We’re very hands-on in these areas, so you can trust that the business side is under control. You’ll always be kept in the loop for final approvals, but you won’t have to personally chase down payments or decipher legal jargon – that’s our job.
Trust and Transparency In Creator Management Agencies
We understand the hesitation – unfortunately, some creators have had bad experiences with agencies that overpromise and underdeliver (or worse).
Here’s how we operate to build trust from day one: transparency, proof, and reputation.
We encourage you to ask questions and even speak with other creators we represent about their experience. A trustworthy agency should have no problem providing references or sharing success stories.
We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and we have long-term clients who can vouch for us.
We also keep our business practices transparent: you’ll know exactly what our commission is and we put everything in writing. We’ll also give you insight into our process (for example, how we pitch you, how we handle your deals – nothing is a black box). If you ever feel unsure, we talk it through; communication is key to trust.
Additionally, we follow industry best practices: no upfront fees, no shady double-dipping, and no “mass signing” just to have a roster. We focus on quality over quantity in our client list, which means we’re invested in each creator’s success.
We view the relationship as a two-way street – as our Co-CEO Jay Kent-Hume said recently, “we’re not assistants, we’re not your bosses — we’re true partners”. That’s how we see it: as a partnership built on mutual trust.
Ultimately, we know trust is earned, not given. We’re prepared to earn yours by being consistent, communicative, and effective. Take your time to do due diligence (we’d do the same if we were in your shoes).
Check our track record, ask our current creators, and see how we conduct ourselves. We believe our transparency and results will speak for themselves, and we’re committed to proving that we’re the right partner to help take your creator journey to the next level.
